About Simple Creative Steps
Do you need to follow some simple creative steps to get to where you want to be?
Let me guess...
You’re ambitious and want to live a more creative life.
But... life is busy, you have obligations and you’re so damn tired all the time.
You have some great ideas and you’d love to start a creative project; something that feels worthwhile.
But... you suffer from fatigue, a chronic illness or other impairment.
How are you supposed to get anything done and where do you even start?
Well, let me tell you, it is possible.
And, since you’re reading this, you’ve already taken that first step along the road to a better life. One where you are led by your creativity and fueled by your passion.
Maybe you want to…
- Start an art project (learn to paint or draw or design comic books).
- Do some woodwork or DIY.
- Get into crafting (embroidery, papercraft or pottery).
- Write a book or a blog.
- Start an online business or work from home.
- Maybe you haven’t decided what to do yet (that’s OK).
The main thing is, you feel ready to start.
You’re ready to put your creativity to good use in a way that matters.
Now, regardless of where you are or what your ideas may be, you will need some help to get going and keep going. I know, because that’s what I needed when I first started.
We are all creative people
It is our duty to draw that creativity out and share it with others. When someone creative shines, they light up the lives of everyone around them.
You may feel unable to do much. Or that you don’t have the time or the energy to achieve your ambitions. But I’m here to help. Trust me, you’ll be surprised at how much you can achieve, even on just a few minutes a day.
Life might be hard and each day a struggle. That doesn’t mean you don’t have the right to a fulfilling life. To know that every step you take, no matter how small or simple, is an amazing achievement.
That’s why I set up this website. To help you get to where you deserve to be and, more importantly, make sure you enjoy the ride.
Hi, I’m Wolfie Crane and I like to teach people how to live a simple creative life.
So, how did I get here?
Well, in 2010 I was diagnosed with ME/CFS, a chronic disease that limits what I can do from day to day.
I started painting in 2013 at age 35 (I know, I like to leave things late). By this time, the symptoms of my illness had become milder. I decided it was time to take back some of the control it had taken from me.
Painting also became a sort of therapy for me. Concentrating on something and being in the moment helped me relax. This in turn had a positive effect on my health.
You can check out my work on my painting site (let me know what you think!).
Over time, I’ve learned more than just how to paint.
You see, if you're unwell like me, you have a problem. Your health is holding you back.
So what do you do if something’s stopping you from doing your creative work?
You have to develope strategies that enable you to get the work done.
So that’s what I did.
I learned how to choose a meaningful creative project and what to focus on to keep it going.
How to work consistently by pacing myself and working little and often.
I learned how to save time and energy so I would have more when I needed it.
How to make long and short term goals and how to be ‘in the now’.
I also learned to not worry about things that are beyond my control and that failure is a good thing.
Then, I set up this website because I wanted to share what I've learned with you.
I want to help you find your creative project, get your work done and fulfill your ambitions. All by using simple creative steps.
One foot after the other.
